Apply for the Degree this Friday

Did you know that you'll need to apply to receive your degree? It's a quick and easy process at the Apply for the Degree event.

All you'll need to do is look over and sign your pre-filled application form and confirm the pronunciation of your name for when you cross the stage at the Class Day ceremony. We hear that there will also be free Insomnia Cookies, t-shirts, and other goodies. (Mmmm, cookies...)

Your Name at Class Day (11/20)

Tell us at the event this Friday how to say your name as you cross the stage at Class Day. You'll write out how your name sounds and capitalize emphasized parts. For example, Roar-ee Lion is "ROR-ee LY-uhn." Tip: If you have a Facebook profile, you can try out their new pronunciation tool.

Degree Application Deadline (12/1)

If you can't get to the Apply for the Degree event this Friday, make sure to submit your application (pdf) by the December 1 deadline. Once completed, send it to diplomas@columbia.edu or bring it to 210 Kent Hall.
