Community Development welcomes you to the Columbia Family! We are busy preparing for your arrival, and we are as excited as you are.

We start off with the New Student Orientation Program, and, throughout the year, offer community events; provide leadership, cultural, and civic engagement opportunities; and advise many student organizations. Keep reading to learn more!

COLUMBIA 101: Transfer Students (6/30)

COLUMBIA 101 events help prepare students for the move to campus and their transition ahead. Transfer students are invited to attend the June 30 COLUMBIA 101 session in New York, which will include staff specially trained to support their needs.

Classmates on Facebook

There is an official Facebook group for transfer, visiting, and combined plan students in Columbia College and Columbia Engineering, where current and past transfer, visiting, and combined plan students are available to answer questions and offer advice on preparing for Columbia.

LionLink for Student Groups

One of the exciting services you can explore after activating your UNI is LionLink. This website let's you view summaries of all the official student groups on campus and follow the events, news, and updates of the ones that interest you. Head on over to see clubs' welcome messages to the class.

Live at Lerner

Student Affairs brings the Columbia community together in many ways, and one program which always offers entertainment and deliciousness is Live at Lerner. Through sounds, study breaks, and a student space, Live at Lerner will beckon you. See last year's events for an idea of what's in store.

Online Advising Chat: Combined Plan (7/17)

Combined Plan Students are invited to join advising deans from the Center for Student Advising on July 17 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Eastern Time for an online chat. Save the date!
