Countdown to Columbia (SEAS)

Navigating NSOP & Guidebook Launch video

Watch a new video where Semira Brown CC’20 and Maddie Miley BC’20 give tips for navigating the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) on the Columbia Undergraduate Student Life Facebook page.

Your NSOP experience is about to begin! Here’s how you can get ready for all the excitement of the upcoming week:

1. Download the NSOP Schedule

Want the NSOP schedule on the go? Download our app to your Apple or Android devices. Once you've opened the app, tap “Columbia College and Columbia Engineering Orientation 2018” to view the guide.

2. Complete the Orientation Activity Waiver

Make sure you’ve completed the Orientation Activity Waiver, if you haven’t done so already. You must do so to receive your CUID and housing materials.

3. Invite Your Family to the Transfer and Combined Plan Family Welcome

We’re excited to see you at the Transfer and Combined Plan Student Welcome next week! On Tuesday, August 28, 1:00–2:00 p.m., we’ll also welcome your family to campus with the Transfer and Combined Plan Family Welcome at Faculty House (64 Morningside Dr.). This event will be a great opportunity for your family members to meet the staff members who will be working with you and connect with other families. If interested, please ask them to RSVP online by Monday, August 27 at noon.

Note: Since you’ll be attending the Transfer and Combined Plan Student Welcome at the same time, there’s no need for your family to register you for their event.
