Countdown to Columbia (SEAS)
Dean Boyce at NSOP 2017

Dear Columbia Engineering Students,

Welcome again to the Columbia undergraduate community! This is the first of a series of e-newsletters we will send over the summer to share timely and relevant information to prepare you for your arrival on campus.

You will learn about campus resources and our student orientation program, plus important events, dates, and deadlines.

In the meantime, take a look at our recent Senior Design Expo, an event that brings our whole school together to see the capstone projects created by our talented seniors.

We look forward to seeing you in August!

Sincerely,

Mary C. Boyce
Dean of Engineering
Morris A. and Alma Schapiro Professor

Pre-arrival Requirements

Countdown to Columbia 2018 Site

On Countdown to Columbia, you’ll find a personal checklist of requirements to help you keep track of the main documents and tasks you’ll need to complete before your arrival to move in on time and avoid registration delays. On this site you’ll also see important announcements, as well as information about arriving on campus, academics, orientation, billing and life at Columbia.

You can track when offices have processed your documents in Student Services Online (SSOL). This site is also where you’ll register for classes, keep track of your grades and access e-Bills — which we’ll provide more information on later in the summer.

We also recognize that your family may be a top source of support, even after you arrive on Columbia's campus. Student and Family Support communicates tips regularly with families to help them be a knowledgeable resource during your time here. If their email address ever changes, make sure they let us know by filling out this Parent and Family Email Address Update Form online. They will need to include your name, school and UNI.
