And then? Review the Commencement Week Checklist, enjoy the celebrations ahead, look out for the day-of-ceremony instructions email the week of Class Day, and plan with your guests where to meet after each event. It really is the final countdown.

1. Register for Class Day by Monday, April 30

Your Class Day is happening on Monday, May 14 beginning at 12:30 p.m. During Class Day, your name will be read as you walk across the stage. You don't need tickets, but you do need to register for this special occasion! Register by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30.

2. Register for University Commencement by Friday, May 4

Two days after Class Day, join grads from all University schools for the Commencement Exercises of the 264th Academic Year. This ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16; the student procession will begin at 9:30 a.m. Register for up to four tickets …

3. Register for Baccalaureate by Friday, May 11

The Baccalaureate Service on Sunday, May 13, 10:00-11:15 a.m., is a multifaith service celebrating the completion of each undergraduate's academic career. Trevon Gordon SEAS'18 and Adrian Rodriguez SEAS'18 will be student speakers at this year's service.

Stop by East Campus on Tuesday, May 1, 2:00–4:00 p.m. to take a break, refresh with career counselors from the Center for Career Education and grab some free Insomnia cookies.

Complete the survey before Commencement and you may win $100 worth of Columbia gear or an Apple Watch!

Make Post-Ceremony Reservations

You can work up quite an appetite sitting through the Class Day (or University Commencement) ceremony! If you plan to go out to eat afterward, avoid long wait times by making reservations now. Aim to make your reservations for some time after 5:00 p.m.

Pre-set Your Alarm(s) for Monday, May 14

Check-in is 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Roone Arledge Auditorium, Lerner Hall. You'll pick up your name card, get your class pin, and then find your spot on the Lerner ramps by 12:25 p.m., when the bells ring to signal the start of the procession.

Pre-set a Few More Alarm(s) for Wednesday, May 16

Gather by school on upper campus wearing your cap and gown and carrying your CUID.You must be in line by 9:00 a.m. to ensure that you are able to participate. If you no longer hold a CUID, bring a photo ID and your University Commencement registration confirmation.

Get Tickets to Your Guests BEFORE University Commencement

Guests must have tickets to access campus. Guests will sit on lower campus and graduates will enter on upper campus. Since there will not be a way to move between the two areas on the day of the event, be sure to distribute tickets in advance.

Share the Live Webcast Link for Class Day and University Commencement

If you have friends and family members who are unable to attend Class Day or who don’t have tickets to the Commencement ceremony, encourage them to watch either ceremony live online.

Register for the Largest Young Alumni Event of the Year! (6/1)

On June 1, more than 1,500 graduates from the last 10 classes will reconnect and celebrate at Guastavino's. This stunning New York City landmark is known for its sophisticated atmosphere and delicious food. Last year's party sold out, so register early!
