Dear Columbia Engineering family, Graduation is just around the corner! With this in mind, we want to share some important updates and reminders with you. Graduates attend their school's Class Day ceremony, where their names are read as they walk across the stage.
Class DayClass Day is the school-specific ceremony where your student's name will be read as they cross the stage. This ceremony will take place on Monday, May 14 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. on the South Lawns of the Morningside Campus. Guests will not need tickets to participate and seating is first-come, first-served. University CommencementUniversity Commencement celebrates graduates of all Columbia schools. It will take place on Wednesday, May 16 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on the steps to Low Memorial Library. Students have received links allowing them to register for up to four (4) tickets for their guests. They will not need a ticket for themselves. Registration will close on Friday, May 4, so please discuss how many tickets your family will need with your student as soon as possible. We also strongly encourage you to talk with your grad-to-be about how s/he will deliver your tickets to you before Wednesday, May 16, as there will not be time to distribute them that day. Each ticket is unique, and must be printed in order for staff to scan at the entrances to the ceremony. WebinarJoin us on Wednesday, May 2 for another conversation with the team that makes Class Day happen! We will discuss when to be on campus for both Class Day and University Commencement, where to sit and what to expect from the ceremonies. There will be plenty of time for questions as well. Register online today! As always, we will continue to keep you updated with information on seating, getting to campus, and other areas of interest, so stay tuned! Please also visit our GradZone website for information on placing congratulatory ads in the yearbook and Columbia Spectator, campus accessibility and much more. All the best, Sue Jordan Important DatesMonday, May 14: Columbia Engineering Class Day |
