New Student Orientation Program

We are so excited to welcome you to campus through our New Student Orientation Program (NSOP). It will be your first opportunity to experience life at Columbia as a student! NSOP will help you to feel at home in Morningside Heights, become familiar with the academic and student involvement opportunities, learn about the campus traditions, understand how to access campus resources and support services, and meet the Columbia community.

Pre-orientation Deadline: June 10!

Please remember to apply by Sunday, June 10, if you are interested in participating in one of Columbia’s three pre-orientation programs - Columbia Outdoor Orientation Program (COÖP), Columbia Urban Experience (CUE), and the International Student Orientation Program (ISOP).

Summer Advising has officially begun! Columbia advising deans are traveling to destinations across the globe to welcome you and your families to the Columbia community and to help prepare you for your move to campus and the transition ahead. If you have not already done so, please don't forget to check the Summer Advising schedule to locate and register for the session most convenient for you.

Summer Reading: An introduction to the Core

Columbia alumni will distribute copies of The Iliad at Summer Advising to all students present. If you are unable to attend, you will receive your book during an appointment with your advising dean in August. Electronic access to The Iliad is also available through the Columbia University library to students with an active UNI and an established UNI password.
