Columbia New Student Newsletter for the Class of 2016

Greetings,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Columbia! As the University and New York City have much to offer, the next years of your life will undoubtedly be a period of profound intellectual and personal growth. Throughout your time in Morningside Heights, Student Affairs will serve as a resource and assist you in all matters beyond course instruction.

Our programs and services are designed to complement what happens in the classroom while fostering a sense of campus community and spirit. This newsletter, and those you will receive in the weeks ahead, are designed to address the specific needs and concerns of entering students, and will provide the information you need to begin your life at Columbia. It is important that you read each one carefully.

We look forward to meeting you at the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) and supporting you throughout your undergraduate years. Welcome to the Columbia family!

Sincerely,

Kevin G. Shollenberger
Dean of Student Affairs
Columbia College and The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science
Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Student Life
