Columbia Families,

In August of 2011, you received a flurry of emails from me regarding changes to your student's move-in because of the impacts of Hurricane Irene (take a look at some of the photos!) It is hard to believe that I am writing you now, nearly 4 years later, to welcome you back to campus in celebration of the Class of 2015. Your students have taken Columbia by storm and impressed us not only with their academic prowess, but also with their sense of community and togetherness. I look forward to seeing you next week.

Sincerely,

Matthew Patashnick
Executive Director

What to Bring and Wear

Consider both the amount of walking you will be doing to-and-from the ceremonies and the weather forecast (which can be very unpredictable). Both ceremonies will take place rain or shine. You may wish to bring some or all of the following items: sunscreen, a hat, an umbrella, a raincoat, and wellies.

Graduate Spotting at Class Day

Since student names are not read in the same order as printed in the program, you may want to plan how you will find your son/daughter during and after the ceremony. Ask him/her to text you before they join the stage queue, and agree beforehand on a post-ceremony meeting place.
