The OMA supports several cultural and identity groups and offers related programming throughout the year. One example is CU Safe Zone, which provides an avenue for straight-identified allies and LGBTQA people to actively express their affirmation for the LGBTQA community at Columbia University.

This inter-generational program connects first-years with returning-student mentors, and all students with alumni mentors. CMI helps first-year students with their adjustment to Columbia University and college life, and invites them to get involved in "family trees" for various affiliations.
