Greetings,

Although we are busy preparing for the exciting year ahead, we want to pause and take this opportunity to share with you some of the fantastic campus life and cocurricular activities in which your student can get involved, from the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) to community events and numerous leadership, cultural, and civic engagement opportunities. I invite you to check out the many program offerings and services on the Office of Undergraduate Student Life website to get a sense of how your student can get involved in the vibrant community that awaits him/her at Columbia.

Sincerely,

Matthew Patashnick
Director of Parent & Family Programs

Convocation

We are excited to welcome the newest class of Columbians and their families to campus in August!

On Monday, August 25, at 2:00 p.m., we will host a Convocation ceremony for students and their families.

An informal parents-only reception follows this from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Please stop by any time within this window! Students will begin the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) immediately following Convocation, which signals the end of Family Orientation.
