Countdown to Columbia: On the Road (7/3)

Roar-ee is a world-class traveler, and he has prepared the following tips to help you and your family as you travel to campus in August for orientation and in October for Family Weekend.

- Visit our Visit Columbia webpage for directions to campus and information on parking, airports, ground transportation, and public transit.

- Check out the Columbia Housing Alternative Accommodations webpage and the Columbia University Travel Portal for information on hotels and lodging.

- Hotels are limited in the neighborhood, but the Columbia campus is easy to get to by public transit. Consider using www.nyc.go, the official New York City tourism website, or your favorite travel site to find accommodations.

- If you plan to drive to campus, be aware that parking is extremely limited. Find additional parking garages by researching the Morningside Heights and Upper West Side neighborhoods online.

Roar-ee has enjoyed sharing his adventures with you. Now, he would like to see your favorite moments from COLUMBIA 101. Please send your photos to columbia101@columbia.edu.

Also, be on the lookout for Family Orientation registration in a email later this month.

Sincerely,
Matthew Patashnick
Director of Parent & Family Programs
