Dear Columbia families,

There is an old English saying that reminds us "March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb." For those students and families living in the greater New York City area this winter, we have seen lots of the lion and are eagerly awaiting the lamb's appearance. However, this quotation resonates with me for reasons greater than my excitement at the prospect of warming weather - and it is all because of the imagery of the lion.
