Dear Students,

As we are all well aware, there are many people and neighborhoods in our immediate community who are in great need of assistance in this time of crisis. Some of our own families and loved ones have been directly impacted by the storm as well. It is times like these that we hope we can pull together as a Columbia community to support one another and those in need. We encourage you to find ways in which you can lend your support and time over the coming days, weeks and months as we all work to move forward together.

Listed below are some resources that can help you find a way to contribute to relief and clean-up efforts. We hope you are able to take part, whether over the upcoming long weekend or upon your return to New York City.

Note that as of today, many organizations are still assessing need and only accepting donations and trained emergency response volunteers. It is expected that more volunteer assignments will open up over the coming days and weeks but there are some direct service opportunities available at this time and several opportunities to register and receive more information as opportunities are identified. Due to high traffic, some web sites do take some time to load.

Thank you for your efforts in advance and for supporting one another.

Sincerely,

Dean Shollenberger
